How Art Ping lists open calls, residencies, and grants for visual artists — and how to get in.

Last updated 4 September 2026

Art Ping is invite-only while it is small. Request access from the homepage, or sign in if you already have an invitation.

What is Art Ping?

Art Ping is a directory of open calls for visual artists. It gathers residencies, grants, juried exhibitions, and calls for entry into one place, with deadlines, fees, and eligibility parsed into fields you can search and filter.

What are open calls for artists?

An open call is an invitation to apply — for a residency, a grant, a juried exhibition, or another opportunity with a deadline and rules. Art Ping lists those invitations so you can compare them instead of hunting through each organizer's site.

What kinds of opportunities does Art Ping list?

Open calls, artist residencies, grants, and juried exhibitions for visual artists. Each listing carries the deadline, fee, and eligibility the page stated, so you can filter by medium, location, career stage, and whether there is a fee.

Who is Art Ping for?

Visual artists looking for opportunities to exhibit, travel, or fund their work. It is invite-only while it is small.

How do I get access?

Request access from the Art Ping homepage. There is no waitlist email and no newsletter — someone reads what you send by hand.

Is Art Ping free?

Yes. There is no paid plan. Access is by invitation during the pilot.

Do I need an account to see open calls?

The homepage shows a public preview of calls that are open right now — titles, organizers, and deadlines. Apply links, fees, eligibility, and the full directory are behind sign-in, for invited members.

Where does the listing data come from?

Pages are crawled and the facts are extracted by language models. Always check the organizer's own page before you apply — a wrong deadline or fee is ours to flag and yours to catch.

Can I put deadlines in my calendar?

Yes. Once you are in, you can save calls and export them as an .ics file, with a reminder before each deadline.

How do I delete my data?

From your profile once you are signed in, or by writing to hello@artping.io. The privacy page spells out exactly what is held and what deletion removes.
